Welcome to the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at Gayatri Vidya Parishad College for Degree and PG Courses (A). The Department offers a regular four- year B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering course with an intake of 120 in the Program of Engineering and Technology under the affiliation of Andhra University.

The Department currently has highly qualified and well experienced faculty on its roll with 4 doctorates and 6 pursuing their PhD degrees. Three Faculty are recognized as research guides by Andhra University and were allotted with 11 Ph. D Scholars.

The department is compiled with committed faculty who is equipped with smart teaching and learning process and always strives to impart the fundamental concepts and the latest trends in the young minds. This kind of teaching enables the student’s ability to enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills and accommodates them with required confidence for a better employability.

To abridge the Industry-Lab-Academia, the department offers honors and minors courses in the curriculum.

The students are also given opportunities to involve in the professional bodies in the field of Electronics and Communications, IETE Student Forum (ISF) as well as department association activities(INTEC), which boosts the confidence of the students and nurtures them in to skilled engineering professionals. Students are provided internship facility in organizations like BSNL, DRDO, DLRL, AIR, HSL, HPCL and ECIL etc.

The department is having strong Industry Institute Interaction and ample number of MOU’s signed for the upskilling the students.

The student projects are conducted in-house with the guidance of department faculty and industrial trainers. The students are motivated to develop projects/ prototypes which are useful and meets the needs of the society like Drones, Solar operated Tri-cycle, Cold storage units for vegetables, two-way communication farmer assistance APP, Self-assisted Wheel Chairs and IoT Health Monitoring System Etc.

The department conducts various workshops, expert talks, industrial visits and value added training programs on recent trends in Electronics and Communication Engineering in collaboration with industries for the benefit of faculty as well as the students.

The students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular, extracurricular, NSS, and NCC activities which enriches the holistic development in them.

Ultimately the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is relentlessly working to make the Vison of the college “ Creating Human Excellence for a Better Society” true.
