The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE),Gayatri Vidya Parishad College for Degree and PG Courses (A) was established in the year 2011 as an under graduate course (B.Tech) in the program of Engineering and Technology with an initial intake of 60 students. The intake was further propelled with an approval of another 60 seats in 2022-23 making a grand total of 120 students.

The B.Tech Program in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) successfully in 20019-20, and re accredited in the yeart 2022-23 with a validation till 2025.

Electronics and Communication Engineering is the branch of Engineering in which the students are trained in the science of practical and theoretical foundations of Electronics Devices & Circuits, Communication Engineering, Analog & Digital ICs, Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processing and Microwave & Fiber Optic Communication. The students are exposed to sophisticated laboratories and latest trends in Communication Engineering.

The Electronics and communication engineering program strives to graduate engineers of the highest quality and to conduct state-of-the-art research. The Electronics and Communication Engineering program enables the students with a set of skills, knowledge and attitudes that will permit its graduates to succeed and thrive as engineers and leaders.

The Program is designed to prepare its graduates to pursue life-long learning, serve the profession and meet intellectual, ethical and career challenges and to maintain a vital, state-of- the-art research enterprise to provide its students and faculty with opportunities to create, interpret, apply and disseminate knowledge.

Admissions under Category "A" (Convener’s Quota-70% of intake in each branch):

Eligibility Criteria:

A Candidate who seeks admission in to the four-year degree course in Engineering shall pass the the Board of Intermediate examination, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects. All the eligible applicants for admission into First Year shall have to qualify in the EAPCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of AP. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the Entrance Examination keeping in view the rules in force regarding the reservations of seats of various categories of candidates. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirement as laid down in the AP Educational institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.

Admissions under Category "B" (30% of intake in each branch):

The Engineering Diploma holders, based on their merit at ECET, are admitted into Lateral Entry (II year B. Tech Courses)

The seats shall be filled as per the rules given by APSCHE.
