About Department

ORIGIN AND GROWTH

The Human Resource Management Department was established in the year 2002 with an intention to promote management education in this region. The Master of Human Resource Management programme is intended to develop managerial skills in different functional areas of management with practical focus on Human Resource Management. The Department has been very fortunate in having the expertise of senior academicians and intellectuals who have been instrumental in shaping the institution to its present status with their vision and teaching. The department is currently having two senior faculty members led by Sri.B.Sivaprasad (submitted his Ph.D work in the area of HRD) and duly supported by a senior most faculty Dr.A.V.Jogarao. The faculty members are multi skilled with academic and industrial experience and having a keen interest towards the research besides the teaching.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMME

The course curriculum consists of 24 papers spread across 4 semesters and the field work programme is an integral part of the course curriculum. Besides this, to evaluate the students’ performance, two mid-term examinations in each subject will be held during the semester (Mid-Exam-I Descriptive; Mid-Exam II is online objective test) and internal viva-voce examination will be conducted in each semester after completion of semester end examination. The intake of students has been increased from 30 to 40 w.e.f 2007-08 academic year. Permanent affiliation has been granted by Andhra University in the academic year 2007-08. MHRM Programme entered the autonomous stream in 2009-10.
