The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was started in the year 2011 in Engineering and Technology Program, Gayatri Vidya Parishad College for Degree & PG Courses (A). The Department offers B.Tech, Computer Science and Engineering program with a maximum intake of 60. MTech started in 2020-21 AY with an intake of 18. Recently from the Academic Year 2022-23 the intake of the Department is raised to 240 Seats (CSE 180 Seats and CSE AI & ML – 60 Seats). Computer Science and Engineering is the branch of Engineering in which the students trained in the science of practical and theoretical foundations of Information Technology and Computation. The students are exposed to sophisticated computer laboratories and latest trends in Computer Science and Engineering.

Admissions under Category "A" (Convener’s Quota-70% of intake in each branch):

A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree program in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects. All the eligible applicants for admission into First Year shall have to qualify in the EAPCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of AP. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the Entrance Examination keeping in view the rules in force regarding the reservations of seats of various categories of candidates. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirement as laid down in the AP Educational institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.

The Engineering Diploma holders, based on their merit at ECET, are admitted into Lateral Entry (II year B. Tech Courses)

The seats shall be filled as per the rules given by APSCHE.

MTech Computer Science & Technology Program started in the Academic Year 2020-21. It is a two - year Postgraduate program with four semesters. The main purpose behind crafting the M.Tech course is to equip students with the knowledge and abilities desirable to the modern computing industry. MTech in Computer Science & Technology have a wide range of job opportunities in sectors like Consultancy firms, IT companies, Corporate Industry, Multinational companies, Start ups, banking sectors etc.

M.Tech Admission Procedure :

A Candidate for admission to M.Tech Program by qualify in GATE/PGCET conducted by Govt. Total number of students Intake is 18 and Specialization is Computer Science & Technology.
