GAYATRI VIDYA PARISHAD COLLEGE FOR DEGREE AND PG COURSES (Autonomous) introduced a professional program in Business Management at masters level, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1995 affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.

The PG Department of Management Studies (MBA) has a special status in the academic stream of GAYATRI VIDYA PARISHAD. It stands as a replica of the vision and mission of the parent organization.

The MBA program, Department of Management Studies, has a special status in the academic streams of GAYATRI VIDYA PARISHAD with the aim of producing competent management professionals to meet the requirements of the corporate world. Since day one, the department has been constantly striving to achieve excellence in the field of management education by focusing on qualitative teaching. The department has been successful in adopting innovative methods of imparting management education and nurturing the students to meet the challenges of the industry.

The department has been very fortunate in having the expertise of several senior academicians and intellectuals who have been instrumental in shaping the institution to its present status with their vision and teaching. The research work done by faculty of any master’s program contributes significantly to the department and to the college as well. The progress of the management department towards this is highly significant with a total of 12 Doctorates and all faculty members have qualified UGC-NET/SET. The faculty members undertake consultancy assignments at various levels and sectors to support the industry. The Department has been recognized as a research centre by Andhra University to guide Ph.D. scholars

The department has Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), and an Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) funded by AICTE. There is constant encouragement to the faculty and students to participate in National and International Seminars, workshops and various academic development programs. The Training and Placement Cell (TPC) coordinates training and placement activities of the students.

The Department of Management Studies has started offering Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) from 2016-17 admitted batches wherein the students can choose one functional specialization among Marketing, Finance & HR and one sectorial specialization among Retail Management, Banking & Financial Services, Hospital Management & Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Further the department is offering open electives in emerging areas such as Soft Skills, Advanced Excel and French in first semester and Business Analytics, Yoga, Digital Marketing and Tally in second semester. The department has excellent academic infrastructure like smart classrooms, digital library, computer centre, media centre, seminar halls, linguistic lab, etc. Experts from Industry and Parent University are invited to deliver lectures on different courses to share their hands on experience to the students

The management department is located in the 8.7-acre lush green Rushikonda campus with well- ventilated spacious class rooms, well equipped laboratories, library, play fields, canteen, vehicle parking , gym, staff rooms, waiting halls, auditorium, seminar halls, etc.
